Afternoon (12pm - 3pm) or Evening (5pm - 8pm).
3. Can I collect my orders from your retailers?
No, collection of online purchases from our retailers is not possible. Kindly purchase or preorder directly from them. Please understand that they have rent and salaries to pay so it isn’t fair to expect them to provide collection services for free.😅
4. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, cookies can be shipped internationally. We apologise that we’re unable to ship all other items as they require temperature control.
Please send us an email or whatsapp to check estimated shipping costs.
Shipping time is estimated to be 2 - 4 weeks but it also depends on your country of destination. Kindly note that there may also be delays due to covid-19.
Get 30 packets and above for free international shipping! (subject to destination)
5. Can you split my order and deliver them on 2 different days or 2 different locations?
No, every order can only have 1 delivery date to 1 location. Please place 2 separate orders instead (1 order per date per location). This helps you to choose the correct shipping option (and makes things less confusing for us too ;)).

1. Can you customise?
At Bakening, we try to accommodate everyone's requests, whether for diet reasons or gifting reasons. Do understand however, there is a disproportionate amount of effort required to customize.
Get in touch with us and we’ll see if we can work it out. We typically charge an additional SGD $20.
Please note that we do not guarantee the quality of customised orders. All customised orders will be done at your own risk.
You can find the nutrition information of our products on the product pages. It’s usually the 3rd or 4th product image.

3. Are your products suitable for Muslims?
Our kitchen do not use alcohol or meat. However, we’re not halal-certified so it depends on your comfort level. :)
4. Which items are keto-friendly/low carb?
We have a wide-range of keto-friendly and low carb products. Go under the relevant headers and filters to find your goodies!
5. Are your products certified gluten-free or allergen-free?
We have our own dedicated baking facility, which is ISO 22000:2018, GMP, HAACP & SFA Certified. In addition to that, we work with partners such as hotels, which may have additional stringent checks/ inspections.
We do not process any gluten, dairy, meat, peanuts. We take extra care to prevent cross contamination between the baking of products which may contain allergens such as nuts.
However, we cannot provide a 100% guarantee as we do not send our products for gluten-free or allergen-free certification.
6. Can we freeze your products?
All our breads, cakes, and muffins can be kept frozen for up to 3-4 months, provided that you freeze them on the first day of getting the products. Prevent them from drying out by keeping them in air tight containers or wrapping tightly.
To consume, thaw overnight in the chiller. After thawing, keep them in the chiller and finish the products within 3 - 4 days.
It’s best to freeze the breads in whole loaves (unsliced) to retain their moisture. However, if you’re unable to consume the entire loaf after thawing, you can slice the bread into portions that you can consume within 3 - 4 days and thaw one portion every few days. :)
Please do not refreeze thawed food as it may become unsafe for consumption.
7. So… what’s Paleo?
Paleo simply means eating what our bodies have evolved to digest and get nutrients from. Read more on our About page.
Ingredients
1. Why do you use palm shortening? Isn’t it bad for our health/environment?
If you didn’t know, palm shortening isn’t made the same way as vegetable shortening. It’s NOT hydrogenated and doesn’t contain any trans fat. When sourced sustainably, palm oil is actually one of the best choices for the environment.
2. What sweeteners do you use?
All Bakening products do not contain refined or artificial sugars. We only use Organic Coconut Sugar (with a low glycemic index of 35), Honey (only for customised frosting), or Organic Erythritol on request. All breakfast items do not contain sweeteners and get their naturally sweet taste from the fruits they contain, along with fibre and other micronutrients essential for good health. ;)
3. What is erythritol?
Erythritol is a sugar alcohol found naturally in plants, unlike artificial sweeteners. It has zero calories and zero glycemic index (does not cause blood sugar to rise), and is suitable for diabetics. However, it does have a slight bitter/metallic aftertaste, hence we do not recommend this option unless you have blood sugar issues. Pls see the pros and cons here.
4. Is there xanthan gum or other gums in your products?
Xanthan gum and other gums are binders commonly found in gluten-free products. However, we do not use any gums as they are known to cause irritation to the gut (e.g. diarrhoea, bloating, increase intestinal permeability) and are not suitable for people with leaky gut. Ironically, xanthan gum is also commonly contaminated with gluten.
